The Qualitive Reading Inventory-5 is an individually administered informal reading inventory used to determine a student’s level of reading and comprehension. The assessment consists of grade leveled word lists and narrative and expository passages. There are a few parts to this assessment, so that a student’s reading ability can be determined most accurately. This assessment can determine a child’s independent, instructional, and frustration reading level.
